Our client in the Southington area is seeking a new addition to to their growing team of Account Managers. This person will be client facing with a positive attitude and the ability to handle pressure well especially during high stress times. They have designed a cutting edge state of the art office building that allows for individuals to collaborate well as a team and learn from each-other while accomplishing in depth tasks throughout the day.

Required Skills:

- Understanding the purpose of accounting and general ledger recording procedures.
- Performing accounting procedures and/or tax applications in accordance with firm standards and in an accurate, thorough and timely manner, including proposing journal entries to client general ledgers
- Serving as the Engagement Lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable
- Developing a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules
- Monitoring project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to managers and/or partners
- Developing a professional relationship with the client and serve as the primary point-of-contact
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong leadership, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Must be proficient in full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable as well as journal entries
- Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts and payroll, and preparing financial presentations for clients in PowerPoint
- Proven technical skills with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks Online, Intacct, Smartsheet, Bill.com, PowerPoint and Excel. Importantly, prior and thorough accounting software experience is required.
- Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- CPA firm experience preferred but not required.
- Education: BS/BA accounting;
