Senior Director of Marketing - Women's Health:

My client, a global life sciences company based in Connecticut, has an exciting, ever-evolving, and significant market that touches our lives. Through the delivery of insightful technologies and products to health care providers, they envision a world with healthier babies, individuals, and families.

My client is looking for a Senior Director of Marketing to join their team. This person will be a Pharmaceutical Marketer with experience across HCP marketing, but also strong DTC marketing. You will be the pharma expert and will manage a team of direct reports.

YOU:

  • Strong US focused pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Must have both HCP experience, as well as strong DTC experience (across a wide array of mediums)

  • This is NOT a remote position. Must be in CT office minimum 4 days a week
  • The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing the strategy for branding, promoting and selling the company s product to achieve corporate & division financial objectives. Oversees all aspects of marketing, provides strategic as well as tactical execution of the marketing and distribution of the product.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Brand direction and serve as Brand Champion for the company s product
  • Develop annual business plan, present, and gain approval from senior management
  • Sets Brand goals
  • Lead ELECT ( E xcellence in L ARC (Long-acting Reversable Contraceptives) E ducation, C ounseling and T raining) National Placement Training Program
  • Lead Marketing Team of 3 to successfully implement Professional, Consumer & Media Marketing Strategies
  • Senior Level relationships with Sales, Market Access, Corporate Accounts, Distributors, Medical and Manufacturing to flawlessly execute brand strategies
  • Successfully and efficiently partner and provide disciplined direction for advertising, media, and public relations agencies to result in growth generating HCP and Consumer advertising and public relations campaigns
  • Supervise marketing, advertising and media budgets for efficient spend to approved levels
  • Continually generate key HCP & Consumer insights for the brand via comprehensive market research efforts
  • Lead Product Development with Research & Development and Regulatory
  • Lead, train & develop Marketing Team
  • Handle Pharma related Marketing Operations
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor s Degree required; Advanced degree, especially MBA in Marketing, General Management, or an advanced scientific degree preferred
  • 3+ years of Director level US Pharmaceutical Marketing experience on a comprehensive, successful key brand with large HCP and Consumer campaigns
  • 3+ years successful leadership of a Pharmaceutical Marketing team
  • Brand launch experience is a plus
  • Annual Business Plan development & successful championship to management
  • Successful partnership and creative campaign execution working with large advertising and public relations agencies
  • Successful Leadership of a large Direct to Consumer Campaign
  • Strong strategic thinker willing to roll their sleeves up for flawless execution
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable with communicating and presenting up to a Board of Directors level
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Some sales and/or sales management experience
  • Specific type of experience Preferred:
  • Experience marketing within the women s health category preferred
  • Leadership of life cycle management initiatives preferred
  • Experience across the marketing mix to include: advertising, public relations, sales materials, direct marketing, web-based marketing, convention presence preferred
  • Marketing Analytics preferred
